Mr. Enoch Boateng is a Pedologist by profession and has a wide experience in administrative matters having been the Head of Soil Research Institute, Accra Centre for the past fifteen years. He is a Chief Research Scientist after twenty eight years of research activities on soils of Ghana. He also served a three year term as the Deputy Director of the CSIR- Soil Research Institute from 2011-2014.
His main Professional Activities include Soil, Terrain and Climatic Resources Inventories; Land evaluation, Agro-ecology and Land-use Planning for Agricultural Development, GIS and Database Management.
He possesses a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Agriculture (1981) from the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana and a Master of Science degree in Soil Science (Option : soil genesis, survey and land evaluation for agricultural development from the University of Gent, Belgium (1990)
Between 1994 and 2012, Mr. Boateng attended several post graduate courses overseas among them; a course in General and Project Management, University of Bradford, U.K., training in soil classification, land suitability modelling, at Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University Copenhagen, Telemetry at the Department of Land Data, Vijle and Environmental Information Systems at Kampsax International, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Mr. Boateng has also attended several local and international conferences and workshops to present papers from his professional activities. He has thirteen publications in peer reviewed journals and over thirty Technical reports from his work on soils of Ghana.
From 1995 to 2000, he was the Project Co-ordinator of the Land Suitability mapping for Ghana under the Ghana Environmental Resources Management Project. At the same period he served as a member of the Ghana Land Information Project Operation Committee (LIPOC)

Local Organizing Committee (LOC) member; 4th International African Soil Science Society Conference (2006) held in Accra, Ghana.
Member of the CSIR-Soil Research Institute Interim Management Committee since 2001.
Secretary to the Men’s Union of St Georges Garrison Anglican Church, Burma Camp, Accra since 2000.
Secretary to the Chris Archer Scholarship Committee of St Georges Garrison Anglican Church, Burma Camp, Accra since 2010.
Member of the Parochial Church Council (PCC) St Georges Garrison Anglican Church, Burma Camp, Accra since 2008.
Chairman, Atomic Gate Homeowners Association (2004-2012)
Has been a part time lecturer at the University of Ghana ,Legon (1999-2001), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (2010-2012),and the University of Agriculture and Environmental Science, 2012-up to date.
